Goodbye 2008!!

Happy New Year's Eve 2008!!! Being parents of 2 two year old boys, we have no BIG plans!! We aren't really the New Year's Eve kinda people!! So, I thought I would "catch up" the blog before the new year!! So, here we go....

Making Christmas Cookies (allergy free that is)!! See we don't miss out on all the good food!! I must admit...you would never know they were allergy free!! This was very messy, but we were making memories!!

We made a trip to Mobile with the Hussey family to see the lights at Bellingrath Gardens. What a VERY cold night that was, but the lights were beautiful!!! I even got to sport my new jacket Marc bought me for Christmas. He felt sorry for me because it was going to be so cold!! What a great husband...right?!?!?!

On the Saturday before Christmas, we celebrated with my grandmother, Ginny. We do this every year the weekend before Christmas. This Christmas was very different as it was the first one without my grandfather, Bobby. I know it meant a lot to Ginny to see us all there during this difficult time. Marc was also not there for good reason...he was being a good friend & helping round up animals for a live nativity. It is a long story, but great to see how God works. See the Christmas day entry to check out the live nativity picture. We also celebrated my mom's birthday with a spaghetti supper!!

Happy Birthday Cookie!!! Hey, you made the blog...finally!! No more complaining!!

On Christmas Eve, we always eat lunch at Marc's grandmother, HuHu, house. It is always a lot of fun. Before the boys got mobile, we used to go to the Candlelight service at the church, but not this year. We ate supper with my mom & opened the ever famous, Christmas Jammies!!! This is always a highlight for me. We have been doing this tradition since I was a little girl!! While we were there, the boys made more cookies for Santa!!

Hey Cookie, you are on here again!!

Caleb dreaming of Santa!

Mason dreaming about his toys!!

Christmas Day is always busy for us, but we had a more laid back year this year it seems. We had to wake the boys up on Christmas morning & that is a rare event at our house. Santa was good to all of us. The boys played with their toys & it was off to eat lunch at my dad's house in Selma. The boys enjoyed their new trampoline most of the day. It was then time to go to Marc's parents house for supper. Things are wild with 8 grandchildren opening gifts!!

Friday night we enjoyed a relaxing dinner with my mom & sister. The boys also got to see what Santa left there!!!

Sorry this was so long! I had a lot of catching up to do!! Maybe I need to make it my New Years Resolution to keep up on the blog better :)!!! Happy New Year to everyone!!
