Summer Break-Part 2!

So, after recouping from the AWESOME 3 year old party...it was time for VBS! We attending VBS in Braggs, AL where Marc's family go. They always have a TON of kids, but never enough workers, so since his mom was in charge this year she asked me to teach. SO, I got every am at 5:30am & got the kids dressed to be out the door by 7:15am. Yes, we drove back & forth everyday (1 hour on way). This made for a VERY long week & some WORN OUT boys. On the Saturday after VBS, we drove to my grandmothers for her birthday & hung out by the pool. Much needed R&R!!!

Since the first of June, I have been taking some sewing & software classes for my new machine. I LOVE it & have been keeping it very busy. I hope to post some pictures of my projects soon!! These are some I have been working on!!

We went to Chattanooga, TN the last weekend in June. My dad took a few of the kids in his SS Class whitewater rafting along with his family & my aunt, so we went along & hung out while they were rafting. My sweet sister Leah hung out with us for the day in Chattanooga & we had a blast!! We went to eat lunch with a friend I went to college with who I haven't since since before the boys were born. She is getting married in Italy in Sept. We had a great lunch with her & her sweet fiance. After lunch, we took the boys to the children's museum. Boy, did we pick the right day or what? Curious George was there!!! The boys had a BLAST!!! Wish we had one in Montgomery.

We went to Marc's parents for the 4th. It was so nice to have them all to ourselves. This doesn't happen very often since Marc has two other siblings who have children. SO, we took full advantage of our day hanging out by the pool & cooking on the grill. It was SO MUCH fun!!! We have WATER BUGS for boys. You cannot get them out if you tried. I am so glad they LOVE the water!

This passed weekend we went to the beach with my dad (Pop), Christie (Tee), Hannah (Ha), Leah (Lela). We had a great time. We enjoyed FUN in the SUN for 2 days!! As we were driving to the beach on Thursday pm, it was VERY bad weather!! But, things sure did improve for us on Friday & Saturday. The boys really like the beach, but enjoyed the pool more. We even got to enjoy one of our nephew's World Series games & what a game it was!!! So glad we got to see that show stopper!!! We came back after the 9am game & got in about 4 hours of SUN & FUN!! We have really enjoyed our time with our family!! Cannot wait to do it again!!!
