Long time...No post!! (I am back)

So, I have once again gone tooooooo long without an update. Please forgive me. Am I the only one who ever wonders where the time goes in the day? A lot has been going on, so hold on tight because this is going to go quick...

We went to Auburn the first Friday in Oct to hang out. Marc had the day off, so what better place to be than Auburn. Oh how we miss that place!!! We hung out downtown & got some WONDERFUL Toomer's lemonade. I wanted to take a picture in front of the Auburn sign, & then they want to play in front of Samford...MELT a mommy's heart. We went to a birthday party in B'ham for a sweet longtime friend of mine's daughter. In fact, me & my sweet friend Nikki, we used to blow out our candles together when we were little. Brings life full circle now. Well, we had a great time at the party, & I made her sweet daughter a reversible dress (see below). I had the best time making it. LOVE making girls clothes, so much more you can do for them!!!

My sweet nephew turned one Oct 8, so went we to celebrate at my in laws house that weekend. He had the cutest cake that my oh so talented sister in law made. Of course, I couldn't resist the temptation to make him something cute. I must say, it turned out darling. In fact, Marc was really impressed (does that say anything?!?!?)!! I played around with the monogram feature on my machine to make it more boy like. I think the boys might be getting them an outfit like this soon!!!

I have a confession...I LOVE BLOGS!!! I love reading them & getting ideas from other wonderful moms trying to make a difference in their children. In fact, I am really addicted b/c I could spend hours looking at others blogs!!! Am I the only one that is crazy like this? SO, while looking at a preschool website, I found a pumpkin muffin recipe. Much to my surprise...it was one that Caleb could eat. I did replace the chocolate chips with allergy free chocolate chips courtesy of Aunt SaSa (we love her)!!! So, when we were finished, Caleb got to lick the beater...Might I say this is the first time he has EVER been able to do that!!! Yes, I did tear up!!! Look at how much he enjoyed it. Also, I will post the recipe here b/c so many people have asked for it!

The boys craving pumpkins. Mason didn't want to put his hand into the pumpkin, but Caleb was ready to get dirty. When we finished cleaning them, we roasted the seed & the boys LOVED them.

Happy Halloween!!! The boys were so excited about Halloween this year. So, we went Trick or Treating at Marc's parents b/c they can eat the candy you know...NOT!! So, Marc's sweet office got ALL the candy!!! Lucky for them!!! As you can see, the boys were Spiderman (with the muscles). They have told everyone that they were Spiderman with muscles, in case there is a difference :)!!!

So, that is what has been going on with us!! I have been monogramming & sewing like crazy & LOVE IT!!! We have been very busy as you can see, but I am going to be much better at the blogging. Maybe I will stop looking at other blogs & update mine :)!!!
In the mist of that has been going on this last month & a half, there has been some very saddening things that have gone on around us. Some of it has really changed my life's focus for the better. Not that I am a bad mom or friend, but it has taught me life is too short & your children are only little once. Some of what has been going on has been awake up call to me...The house can be dirty, the clothes will get done, FAMILY comes first, & cherish your children. God has blessed my life beyond measures. He is the head of my life & everything else falls in order.
Without going into a a lot of details on either situation, please lift two sweet families up in prayer. These two situation have made me sick physically & emotionally, and I can only imagine how they must feel. One is a sweet friend with small children that needs prayer & guidance right now, & the other is a sweet family that lost their son tragically to suicide last Monday. These situation have been the changing point to me these last few days. God is in control, & I am praying Romans 8:28- "All things work for good for those who love the Lord & work according to his plan."
Not to end on such a sad note, I hope you all have a great week & look for more post soon!!!
