Happy Father's Daddy...We love you very much!!!
Happy Father's Day!!! We had a jam packed full weekend, but it was a lot of fun. Saturday we traveled to Columbus, Ga to see my granddad (my dad's dad) who is in an assisted living there. We hadn't seen him in a couple of months, so I was anxious to get over there. As most everyone knows, he was given 6 months to live in Jan 2008 due to his heart condition & multiple myeloma (Cancer of the Bone Marrow). When I walked in his room, WOW he looked so good!!! He had more color & energy than I have seen in a LONG time. Of course, our family doesn't going in anywhere quite. The boys ran in the room & hugged granddaddy!! I am sure that melted his heart. Mason also managed to put his Auburn hat on granddaddy's head. That was a once in a lifetime shot. I guess you will do anything for your great grandkids. After we visited for awhile, we manged to talked him into going to eat at Red Lobster. He really did well getting out, & I think really had a great time with his family!!!
Sunday we got up & had Father's Day at our house with Marc. He really got a lot...I guess that means he has been extra good. We went to Sunday School, & then headed to Selma to eat lunch with my dad, Pop. The boys were extra wound up there. They must have had tons of sugar at church. For supper, we headed to Braggs to be with Marc's dad, Non-na. We managed to get in a few minutes of swimming before the thunder & lightening started. It was so nice to spend this weekend with people we love! I am sure the granddads enjoyed their grandkids being with them on this special day because we all know once you have kids it isn't about you anymore :)!!! I am only kidding!!
On another note, I had to take Caleb Monday back to the doctor because he has been itching himself to the point of bleeding & started running fever. Well, come to find out he has staph infection. They put him on a strong antibiotic & moved our dermatology appointment to this coming Monday. More on that to come!!
Four generations!!!
Pop saying bye to the boys!!!
Giving Non-na some sugar!
